Saratoga Lake Sailing Club
The Saratoga Lake Sailing Club is situated on the western shore of Saratoga Lake, about a half-hour's drive north of Albany, New York on I-87 (called the Adirondack Northway, or simply Northway by local folks). As the name says, we're a Sailing Club. This means:
* We accommodate sailboats exclusively, i.e. no powerboats.
* We're a volunteer organization; most club work is performed by members. The Club has no full-time employees.
* We emphasize sailing, including an active racing program.
* Our dues and fees are affordable to families of moderate income.
While the house and grounds are open to members year round, our season runs from May through October. Club series races are held on Sunday afternoons during the season. Visitors are welcome then. Frequently one of our skippers will be looking for crew in that afternoon's races and visitors may thereby get a chance to participate.
