Upper Keys Sailing Club
The Upper Keys Sailing Club is located on Buttonwood Sound in tropical Key Largo, Florida. The club is located on approximately an acre of bayfront property. The facility includes a "conch" style clubhouse, dockmasters� cottage, Quonset hut that houses a work bench area and spar storage area. There is a dry storage area for the club�s small boat fleets and deepwater dockage with 22 slips. The club currently has two JY-15s, 1 Hobie Wave and several Sunfish and Prams available for members' use. The clubhouse has a complete kitchen and full bar.
The purpose of the club is "to promote sailing in all its branches; to provide a meeting place for those interested in this sport; and to foster a spirit if helpfulness and good fellowship."
There are scheduled PHRF, Portsmouth and one design races all year round. The Mark Sorensen Youth Sailing Program offers youth sailors from 10 to 20 years of age sailing lessons and opportunities to compete in regattas.
